Don’t just take our word for it, here’s a testimonial from a recent group member:
“As someone who has struggled with anxiety most of my adult life, but especially the last 6 years or so, I was intrigued by this group but honestly, had no expectations. I had already been seeing my individual therapist regularly over the years with remarkable success but not without setbacks. I truly did not expect much from the group but was willing to give it a go and see what, if anything, l could accomplish. As the weeks unfolded, that thought could not have been proven more wrong.
This group proved to be a tremendous add-on for all the work and learning individual therapy provided over the last 6+ years and I can say without question, that if you are on the fence about joining this group, do it! Do it for yourself and for your mental health so that you too, can add these skills to your toolbox and your healing journey.”
DBT Skills Group – Payment & Commitment Policy
Participation in the DBT Skills Group is a commitment to yourself, the group process, and the therapeutic container we co-create together. In alignment with DBT principles, this group emphasizes accountability, effectiveness, and follow-through as part of the work.
Program Fees
- $35 per session
- 8-week program total: $280
Participants are financially responsible for the entire 8-week program, regardless of attendance. This policy reflects the structured nature of skills-based group work and supports consistency, cohesion, and therapeutic momentum for all members.
Pay-in-Full Option
To support accessibility and commitment:
- A reduced rate of $265 is available for participants who choose to pay in full prior to the start of the group
Why Full Commitment Matters (DBT-Informed Rationale)
In DBT, we practice skills such as:
- Commitment & Effectiveness: Choosing actions that move us toward long-term goals, even when motivation fluctuates
- Opposite Action: Showing up consistently, especially when avoidance or emotional discomfort might pull us away
- Wise Mind Decision-Making: Planning ahead rather than reacting in the moment
Committing financially to the full program supports engagement, reduces drop-off, and strengthens the group’s ability to function as a stable and supportive learning environment.
Attendance & Missed Sessions
- No refunds or credits are provided for missed sessions
- Group materials or summaries may be provided at the facilitator’s discretion, but missed content cannot be recreated individually
- If you anticipate barriers to consistent attendance, we encourage discussing this prior to enrollment to determine best fit
Financial Accessibility
We strive to balance fair compensation, ethical group practices, and accessibility. Reduced pay-in-full pricing is offered as one way to support participants while maintaining program sustainability. Additional financial concerns may be discussed prior to group start.
Agreement
By enrolling in the DBT Skills Group, participants acknowledge and agree to this payment and commitment policy as part of their participation.
